Poem: The Purple and the Green

Once I cared.
I gave freely the pureness;
the red love of my heart
I gave in confidence.

The purple greed
the green confusion
you infused in me
tore apart the remains
of the delicate
red purity.

I was guttered -
empty right through.

Finally you are far
far
away.

Without the purple
and
the green,
the injections you gave
with unknowing intentions,
the red can rejuvenate
becoming stronger each day
to kill the contamination.
