Getting Personal

Planning for June

The month is almost over and once again, it’s time to re-evaluate my goals, what I’ve been doing, what’s working, and what’s not. I go through this every month and each month I realize that I simply haven’t followed through on my plans and all the ideas in my head.

I know part of this is my ADHD. I’m attract to the new and interesting. When something comes along that I find intriguing, I lose focus on the goals.

So, I think what I need to do is make sure I keep the goals interesting and challenging enough that I keep working on them.

I’ve got a plan for a personal challenge for Medium. I’m not going to say what it is but I’ll be telling you all about it tomorrow on the first of June. I’m hoping this challenge will give me enough incentive and interest to keep it up. Challenges haven’t been successful for me in the past but…I keep trying. You can’t succeed if you don’t try.

Other than Medium, I am going to try to do two things:

  1. Get organized with my publishing on Amazon
  2. Publish on Amazon

I have two books that are on pre-order. I know I can get those written on time.

But the big thing I need to do is work on my admin tasks. I have a PA that I’m still training and I need to figure out what I can count on her to do (she’s getting married in July!) and what I need to do for myself.

That involves straightening out my Trello board. I feel like it’s not totally set up the way I want it to be yet, so I think I need to spend some time on it.

I also have some expenses I need to take care of. So, I need to sort that out.

I do feel like I’m doing a lot better than I have in previous months. I feel as if I’m closer to where I want to be. Not there, but closer.

I know part of that feeling is because I’ve been consistently taking my Ritalin. That makes me less anxious. My head is clearer. So, now, I just need to sit down and get a plan going.

Tomorrow.

For now, it’s time to get ready to go to work.

Have a good day all!
